La Casa is a family owned and operated business, headed by Gina Esposito, in Vancouver, British Columbia. "Growing up in Montreal, it was easy to find inspiration. Old Montreal radiates charm, style and class and I was surrounded by talented individuals. My grandmother used to sew, embroider and knit with intricate detail, my mother handmade clothing, including bridesmaid dresses and prom gowns, and my father ran a home-based furniture upholstery business on the weekends. The whirl of the sewing machine was a constant in our home. " Gina has been sewing her whole life. At the age of three she sewed on her first button. Shortly thereafter she made doll outfits from remnants of fabric. As a teenager, she altered outfits and eventually made her own clothing. While studying Psychology in University, she discovered a passion for interior decor. She handmade her first pair of tab-top curtain panels which lead to more curtains and then toss-cushions, blankets, pillow shams, and comforters. In 1997, her desire to see the world catapulted her into a wonderful career as a flight attendant. She lived in Toronto and Calgary before finally settling in Vancouver in 1999. In 2006, she decided to officially open La Casa custom draperies and accessories. In 2008, she started a family and launched a new division to the company. La Casa Bambino was born out of a desire to create handmade, luxurious, and exclusive baby products.. We are committed to giving our valued customers high quality, exceptional products they can be proud of for many years. Let our experience guide you. |
